Biscuits

We had these with the sausage gravy for Christmas morning. I love biscuits and gravy.

2 1/2-3 c. flour
8 Tbsp. butter, chilled and cut into cubes.
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
4 Tbsp. butter, softened

Preheat oven to 450. Pulse together dry ingredients in a food processor. Add buttermilk and mix. Dough will be slightly dry. Roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place on a baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes. Spread with softened butter.
