Chocolate Chip Cookies

2¼ c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
½ c. butter softened
½ c. margarine softened
¾ c. sugar
¾ c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, margarine, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large mixer. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded Tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake @ 375° 9-11 minutes.
Pan cookie variation:
Prepare dough as above. Spread into greased 15x10” jelly roll pan. Bake @ 375° 20-25 minutes.
